This position provides significant influence on technology strategy, engineering excellence, and company growth.DutiesOffer technical guidance for complex aerospace development programs.Establish system architecture, engineering strategy, and long-term development roadmaps.Lead diverse engineering teams, including aerospace, mechanical, electrical, avionics, systems, manufacturing, and test engineering.Supervise the design, integration, and validation of aerospace platforms and mission-critical systems.Oversee aircraft structures, systems integration, flight controls, propulsion integration, aerodynamics, and supporting subsystems.Guide prototype development, testing, verification, and validation activities.Establish engineering best practices, including design reviews, configuration management, technical risk management, and quality standards.Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, suppliers, government agencies, and strategic partners.Mentor engineering managers and technical staff while promoting innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with business goals and future growth.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field. Master's degree preferred.15+ years of progressive aerospace engineering experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.Proven success leading the development of complex aerospace products.Expertise in aircraft design, structural development, systems integration, aerodynamics, propulsion integration, and flight controls.Experience integrating avionics, electrical systems, communications, navigation, sensors, propulsion, and other aircraft systems.Strong understanding of systems engineering, verification and validation, configuration management, and engineering development processes.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across various stakeholders.Desired QualificationsBackground in unmanned aircraft, autonomous systems, or advanced aerospace technologies.Experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated engineering programs.Familiarity with FAA, military, or other aerospace certification requirements.Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and AS9100 quality systems.Why This Role?This is a rare chance to shape the technical direction of a growing aerospace company developing next-gen flight technologies.
